No matter the fact, whether you are planning to use your Corelle as fancy dinnerware or not — owning one is always a great idea. As an owner of multiple dinner sets from Corelle, I have found that the benefits and advantages of the company outweigh cons if at all any — which to be honest I feel are next to none. Initiated into the world of Corelle from my household, I have the fondest memories of my grandma's baking and the blue coloured flowers of the Corningware that still remind me of that familiar taste of food that is made with love.
On the ergonomic front of things, some of the biggest advantages that I have found with Corelle is the fact, that all the Corelle dinnerware ranges are microwave safe. So many times I have gone back home with almost no desire to even move a finger to heat my food — Corelle thankfully aids my laziness in this depart because instead of having to switch on the gas and move around pots and pans I just serve the food on my plate and pop it in, into the microwave, in fact, its so easy that my little ones do it for themselves as well on days when I might be away from home.
If you think that the handling of dishes by children sounds like a disaster waiting to happen then you're probably right — but Corelle is made from tempered glass and in our house when the kids decided to take upon themselves the dishwasher duties — believe me when I tell you this I genuinely felt that it was a disaster in the making and there would be a lot of screams, gasps and tears (mostly mine) — to my surprise, my Corelle dishes have survived the tsunami of my kids. Yes, there were incidents when accidental slips happened with wet dishes — but somehow the Vitrelle persisted. I'm not saying that the dishes are shatterproof — but they do manage to survive a lot of accidents and incidents that other glassware wouldn't have been able to.
